Health Insurance providers: I am contracted to several Health Insurance Providers, such as Aviva, BUPA and Vitality.
I am registered with a number of medical insurance providers. Please note that my session fee is higher than the amount typically reimbursed by medical insurance, and the level of cover depends on the specific policy you hold. Any shortfall between my fee and the amount covered by your insurer is the responsibility of the client.
As a sole practitioner, I am unable to manage the administrative demands of liaising directly with medical insurance companies. For this reason, clients are responsible for submitting their own claims to their insurer.
Sessions are paid for directly at the time of the appointment. I will provide a clear invoice containing all the information typically required by insurers (including membership numbers and authorisation codes, where applicable) to support the claims process.
Please note that coverage, eligibility, and reimbursement levels are determined solely by your insurer and vary depending on the policy held.
If you have questions about your level of cover, your medical insurance provider will be able to advise you directly.
Payment for all sessions must be made directly to me 24 hours prior to each appointment, whether you are self-funding or using private health insurance. This policy helps to protect session times and manage the impact of late cancellations, as appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are chargeable in full and cannot be reallocated at short notice.
I am registered with several medical insurance providers, and many clients are able to claim back the cost of their sessions. However, I do not submit claims directly to insurance companies on behalf of clients.Once payment has been received, an invoice will be issued within 24 hours of your session. This invoice will include all the necessary information (such as provider registration numbers, session codes, and dates) for you to submit a claim to your medical insurance provider.
Please note that any shortfall between what your insurer reimburses and my full session fee will be your responsibility. I recommend checking your policy details directly with your insurer before beginning sessions to understand what is covered.
Lateness & Cancellation Policy:
My practice runs on schedule; therefore, if you are late for a session, please expect the session to finish at the scheduled time.
24 hour notice is required for cancellation of appointments; otherwise, the full session fee will be charged, and the same applies to “no-show” appointments. This is consistent with sound business practices around the world.
Psychology practices are not run on a waiting-room system. As such, when clients do not honour appointments made, there is almost no possibility that the time can be re-booked for that day, and the practitioner will be unable to cover operating costs. Additionally, as there is a high demand for services, your time is reserved exclusively for you and, therefore, is unavailable to others. If you cannot keep your appointment, I will do my best to reschedule the appointment.
Holidays and Breaks:
I attempt to provide good notice of upcoming holidays and breaks and would appreciate it if you could provide me with notice as to when you will be away.
